This year
we went to a resort in Massanutten.
We had a terrific time and below you can see why!

Saturday - Day One: The drive there
and the glorious (insert ohhhs and ahhhs!)
resort.
Sunday - Day Two: Alas, I forgot my camera! :-(
Sally took some pictures and I hope that I can get doubles (hint hint).
This was the day we did a mini-hike and played at a playground. We
needed to take it easy after the drive there and settling in at the resort.
Monday - Day Three: We took a chair
lift up to the top of the mountain . . . not sure what the name of
the mountain was . . . but this was all part of the resort.
Tuesday - Day Four:
Wednesday - Day Five: No camera again . . . We mostly
relaxed and went to a local winery. We knew we would have a big day
Thursday! We also cooked our huge dinner at the resort. Boy, was
that a lot of food. Thinking about it makes me full.
Thursday - Day Six: This was a really fun day .
. . we dressed up and did our make-up and had a blast. In the evening
we went to a local playhouse and saw A Midsummer Night's Dream.
The pictures we took of each other, though, will not be posted ;-)
Friday - Day Seven:
Dark Hollow Falls
was glorious. Boy were we tired after the 10 mile hike!
Saturday - Day Eight: Ah, this was the day we had to go home .
. . we tried to take a picture, but it isn't worth posting . . . we were too
tired in it! lol.
